Organic Shop Review | Life with Lauren

For the past six months or so, I have been testing out the Organic Shop haircare range as I love to test out Organic & Cruelty-Free products. I've been struggling to find a brand that is natural but also affordable as Organic products are known to be more expensive so when I found out that Organic Shop sells Haircare and Body-care products for under £3 I was pleasantly surprised.

Organic Shop has the COSMOS Natural Certification for all of their products which means:

- No Animal Testing
- No GM Ingredients
- No Controversial Chemicals
- No Parabens and Phthalates
- No Synthetic colours, or artificial fragrances

You'll notice if you visit their website, that there are a ton of different ranges such as Avocado and Honey, Pomegranate and Patchouli and Coconut and Shea to name a few. Each range serves a different purpose, so I thought I'd create a little list of which range from the haircare products would be best for your hair type:

Avocado and Honey: Dry/Damaged
Pomegranate and Patchouli: Normal/Dry
Coconut and Shea: Colour Treated and Damaged Hair
Raspberry and Acai: Normal/Dry
Argan and Amla: Colour Treated and Damaged Hair

The packaging of Organic Shop products are so sleek and colourful. The Shampoo and Conditioner come with a pump which allows for an easy application and the scent of every product is incredible! I don't always notice a huge difference in my hair when I use the products but seeing as they are completely natural, I'd say they do a pretty good job! The hair masks are firm favourites of mine!

If you're interested about what most of the ingredients mean then here's a quick breakdown:

Cetearyl Alcohol -  This is an emulsifier and foaming agent which helps to achieve that thick, foamy texture. It is found in plants such as Coconut and is 95% natural.
Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride - This is an eco-friendly, chemical compound which has anti-frizz properties which is why it is used in hair care products. It has been approved by COSMOS and leaves hair feeling sleek and shiny.
Glycerin -  This comes from natural oils like Shea Butter and Coconut Oil and helps to pull moisture within the hair and maintain it. However, it only works this way in moderately moist air as dry/humid air can make it work in the opposite way.
Potassium Sorbate - Potassium Sorbate helps to extend shelf life without using Parabens. It is a very mild and natural preservative.

If you'd like to know about any other ingredients then just let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Do I recommend this brand? Absolutely!

These products are natural, cruelty-free and affordable so I have absolutely no faults for the brand! If you'd like to purchase a product from their range then head over to their website, Amazon or your local Tesco.
