Welcome to Blogtober
Day Four!
I’ve been completely
overwhelmed lately by the amount of comments and support I’ve had on my blog
lately and I’d just like to say a quick thank you!
It really means a lot
when people can see the amount of effort you put into your posts!
…
Anyway, on to the
actual point of this post!
I decided to give
everyone some of the tips I have managed to think of for building up a good
following on your blog, twitter, Instagram etc…
Now, I definitely do
not have loads of followers but I believe that the followers I do have are all
so lovely and engaging. In my opinion, it’s much better to have a small but
engaging following than a large and ‘ghost’ following.
Followers do not
bother me at all, I love blogging and sharing my thoughts with other people so
I am not the greatest of people to get advice from, but I’ll try my best!
So here goes…
…
1. ENGAGE,
ENGAGE, ENGAGE! I believe that if you don’t engage and support other bloggers
by messaging them and commenting on their social media/blogs then people are a
lot less likely to do it for you! You can’t expect people to leave you lovely
comments all the time if you don’t do it for anyone else.
2. Post
interesting content and take unique photos! I’m not sure if my posts are very
unique but I do try to be as unique as I possibly can (seen as there are
thousands of bloggers out there!)
3. Another
tip is hosting giveaways every now and then. I’m not saying that you need to
constantly give presents to people to keep them from following you, I’m just
saying that a giveaway is a great way to give yourself a little boost and get
recognised. Some people may not even know your blog exists, so by getting
people to RT your giveaways can really widen your audience!
4. Promote
your posts! When you upload a new post, ensure you share it on your social
media accounts! It is really hard to get people to subscribe to your mailing
list (and get notified when you post) so the best way to get round this is to promote
yourself! There’s not harm in this!
5. Do
a guest post! It’s a great way to get recognised. If a blogger is advertising
for someone to be a guest on their blog then take them up on it! It would be a
great way to get recognised as their followers will soon discover you!
…
Well, that’s all the
tips I have to help boost your blog stats and engagement! But remember
lovelies, blogging doesn’t have to be a competition. If you enjoy blogging and love what you do then don’t
worry that you don’t have a huge following!
xoxo
Yay loved this! It's so true all the points you make! It's lovely when you comment on people's posts and get engagement back you really start to get to know each other!

DeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteGuest posting is a great way to get the word out about your blog in the community for sure. And I agree with everything else!
Thank you! :)
DeleteI want to engage more for sure! I just don't know the best way to do it. Sometimes I get inspired to just talk to people on Twitter, but people hardly reply lol or I want to comment on blogs, but when I tweet asking for people to send me their links, no one replies, either. #epicfail

Yeah I understand what you mean, but honestly so many people in the blogging world are lovely so just keep trying and I'm sure people will respond :)
DeleteNow I go back to blogs that I like.. I just try to remember which they are and then I go to them. I can't make myself bookmark yet or even use Bloglovin. That website is just annoying nowadays.

DeleteGreat tips! Consistently posting is one that I've found the most use in when growing my following. As the last few months I've been posting every day or every other day and my followers have shot up! Also, just writing what you love (:
