Current Makeup Favourites

Hello lovelies!
We are half way, it's been a challenge but we're getting there! 💪 I have to admit, I have missed a few days but I’ve been away from home over the weekend so simply couldn’t post 😭

I thought I'd share my current makeup favourites with you today, as I'm currently sitting at home with a ton of spare time. I haven't been wearing too much makeup lately as I've been trying to give my skin a break, but when I do, this is what I reach for!

I don't switch up the make-up products in my bag too often because I'm afraid of trying out a product which doesn't work well with my skin and causes me to break out. I've been using these make-up items for quite a while now and I thought it would be nice to share them with you!

Firstly, the Loreal True Match Foundation has really impressed me! I am probably the last beauty-obsessed person to buy this product as everybody has already spoke about how amazing it is.

Shade - I got the shade 3.N Creamy Beige which was a pretty good match for me! I found that there was a range of different shades to choose from, 21 to be exact.

Packaging - The biggest downside to this product was the packaging. Foundation covered the plastic lid and no matter how much I tried to clean it for the photo, if you look very closely it is still covered. I did like the glass bottle but it isn't really ideal for travel.

Coverage/Finish - This foundation gives off a pretty good medium coverage, redness did still show through but I found that a green concealer underneath fixed this problem. The finish of this foundation is really nice too and different to most foundations in my collection. It gives a really nice satin sheen to the skin 😍

On to the Benefit Hoola Bronzer... I absolutely LOVE this product! 😍 The shade is great for contouring and isn't orange at all. The packaging is so cute but again not really ideal for travelling as it's quite bulky. The product blends in really nicely with my Real Techniques Contour Brush and leaves no harsh lines. A brush is included but I have only ever used it once as it's just too small for me.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is a product I've been using for quite a while now. I brought the shade 'Soft Brown' which is a perfect match for me. I use the Real Techniques Brow Brush with light strokes to get the look I want. I really love the way ABH have packaged this product as it looks really sleek in my acrylic makeup drawers. I have had this product for months now and I'm not even half way through which is great considering it's only £15 as well.

As you can see, my Benefit High Beam Highlighter is completely empty. I will definitely be purchasing a new one as I loved it so much. I definitely prefer liquid highlighters to powdered ones as it gives a more natural glow to your skin. When I pair my Mac MSF in Soft and gentle with it, it makes my highlight look amazing!

Lastly, the Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation is my favourite powder at the minute. If I am looking for a more full coverage look, I use this product on top of my foundation. I really like the sponge that comes with it, however it does get dirty really quickly! A downside to this is that it makes my skin look quite dull, which is a negative for me as I prefer a more dewy, highlighted look.

I hope you found this useful and if you've tried these products before then let me know how you found them! 💓

xoxo

  1. I used to use that foundation and I really liked the way it looked, but because my skin is so oily it would feel horrible by the end of the day. I just started usi a foundation powder which really helps mattify it. I love hoola bronzer too :)

  8. I totally agree with you on L'oreal True Match. It has been my go-to for years until I tried Estee Lauder's Double Wear. But for a drugstore foundation, nothing beats True Match when it comes to their shade range. Even most high-end brands don't have that much variety in their shade range. I also enjoy setting the foundation with their True Match Powder foundation. It helps keep my T-zone area matte for hours! 😊
